Ive had an airbox made from 1mm ally in the past and it was indeed a bit of a git to weld because it was so flimsy. It was pretty large as airboxes go as it went over 3 Weber 45s on my E30. However i dont remember having a problem with it resonating too much though. :lol:

True, but it doesn't help with noise regs and it makes a bloody horrible racket! :P
