That Silver Stuff They Sell In Halfords.......

Recommended Posts

For the floor with like dashes on it metal effect sort of thing...... do they make it in black ?

I was going to put something down but not the carpet back until im 100% sure its watertight so just wondered if a black non showy version of the silver was available?

Or does anyone have any ideas about floor coverings / carpet alternatives as its not very nice having bare metal i think.

its heavy that stuff, and id imagine is slippery when your feet are wet, you can get some hard wearing stuff you bond on, like this kind of thing HERE

Cloverleaf

Similar to above I got some of the self-adhesive stuff used on boat decks. Just ebay "grip tape" and you get over 1000 results! Cheaper than DT

what i would call heavy :(

Yup checker plate. If your planning this in your foot-wells I would advise against it for a daily driver, its bloody slippery when wet. I had some silly tempoary mats with CP on for a while hated them for this reason.

A rubberised version would be good though maybe?

You can get that checker plate stuff on a rubber/plastic roll now.

B&Q etc sell the metal stuff too, and it'll be cheaper than Halfrauds.
