Anyone From Kent?

A guy i know has a press if anyone needs one... he'll prob do it for ya for a small charge. (he is very good and charge would be small if it was just to ake it off). My car is running like a pig... literally its lumpy and horrible. i cant figure out what it is, going to have to call in a friend i think, alos water leaks again, damn it!

still, its taken long enough to get the thing going again, so its going to take a while i guess to get it running properly!

given the throtle body and sensors around it a good clean? Were are the leaks from? Reminds me I've gt one on my dimma from my thermostat housing.

suspension top mounts? take the arb drop links off and see if it still knocks.

ive got my dimma runnig better today  it actually idles now, wether it will when its back on the road is something ill have to wait and see, the front bumper and grill are hopefully being painted this week then it just leaves the rear bearings, where did you get yours pete?

beam bearings? i got mine off here but i do know lcp lists a set for about £75 i think for the lot. as i was gonna get them from there before a set come up on here.

good thinking about the arb its deffo coming from down the bottom though mate.

and i actually figured out where it was leaking oil from, it only turned out to be the sump nut was hand tight :) its always the simplist things eh?

atleast it was simple tho I bet it's made a mess under the car, thinking about it did you say you could feel the knock through your steering? If so it won't be arb, more likely to do with the rack, track rod ends maybe?

What's all this talk of presses? I have a lovely selection of hammers that do me just fine lol

mate dont assume that the side making the noise is the side thats broken, i did the pass side on my xsara as the noise went when weight lifted off that wheel

i.e on a left hand turn. but it turned out it was the driver s bearing that was shot and went quiet when weight was applied to that wheel, i.e left hand turn

do the other bearing first would be my suggestion. cheaper than a driveshaft and easy to do with a press.

You have to listen for the noise in and out ofthe car, in the car the noise travels, sounds dumb but drive slowly and get a mate to jog next to you! lol.

As for the leaks on my pug james, its coming from the pipe on the bottom of the rad (is pipe as new rad) so either need to get sealant or new pipe. The other seems to have stopped when i looked yesterday, so F*** knows about that!

The Kent meet, we were looking at for August, kinda depends on when we get the pugs going really. Dont you live in singleton aswell percy? nothing to stop the ashford lot meeting up, were the ones that mainly use this post. so whenever is good if you want to! lol.

Another one guys, mine is running lumpy, seems like the timing is out, i fit a new dizzie on a lil while ago, i THINK if i rotate the dizzie housing a little it might help, but i dont know. Really am stuck as to what is causing it to run like a tractor on spliff! just slow and lumpy, its upsetting to hear, at the same time im glad its running now!! <_<

(percy, jsut read where your location is! lol, ashford is only a short drive in, so if you wante to meet up just post it and we can arrange something, e.g if you need a helping hand on the pug, thats how we all met over my gaff, did my suspension!)

P.s James, Spud said to say hello to you. dont ask, i dont know :D

ok, well we need to find out when ppl in ashford are free for a meet up, maybe an evening sometime.

CYN is now up and running!! runs nice and smooth! such a good noise when it runs sweet for the first time after a re-build. Have got white smokethough, but i recon thats because it may have had condensation in the exhaust after being sat for 2/3 months. SUCCESS!! so happy to have the beast alive. :):D:D. now just to mot and tax! HAHA

you dont fancy a ph1 vts by any chance? :D

the pug is ready but the funds to have it mot'd, taxed and insured isnt. the missus is off uni for the summer and until she starts work again money is a little tight (not tight enough to stop me buying cars off ebay though  )

i'll come to the meet in the xsara and the same with pugfest

good luck with the mot dan.
