Hi all,,,,, me and the girlfriend got a 1990 1.6 gti bout to months ago and we are having so much fun doing things and going places with it, we are looking at getting a cti aswell. Going to look at it today, been stored in a barn for 3 years so not sure what I'm gonna find but worth a look..

We are in Ashford, Kent, would be good to arrange a meet sometime though....

yep see it quite often parked in the car park by the shops, walked past it earlier aswell. That's makes 3 of us 205 owners within about a 5 minuite walk of each other. Mines off the road for a couple of weeks now though.

Im in the flats right next to the Barn and shops in the square, although will be moving soon.

Stangely will a few peaple saying they have seen 205's about ive only ever seen three in ashford,

In kingsnorthm by the triumph bike place there is a grey 1.9,, and i saw a young girl in a white one and a very clean gti in silver the other week coming out of stanhope area a week or so ago. You guys must have yours of the road all the time,,,,, GET THEM ON THE ROAD!!!!!!!!!!

Forgot to tell you all, I went to look at hte cti i mentioned yesterday,,,,,,, O M G,,,,,, its a bit of a project alright,,, it hasnt turned a wheel in just over three years and ive never seen so much mould in the interior ever (door cards, seats, carpet,,,,,,and the amount of dusts and dirt it unbelievable),,,, however i think under all that it has the potential of a brilliant 94k mile 1.6 Cti in magma grey E plate........ Its got the later dash which i like,,,,, need to get my house move sorted first then need to get it picked up....... Just glad the missus likes them cause this project wont be any where near as quick as the last one......

shouldn't be any reason why the 205 would have any problem, my dimma had hardly moved for 6 years until I got it and mot'd it last may and it made pugfest no worries

the drive there for me will be just as bad 1.6 gearboxes are abit to short ratio'd for my mi16 it makes sitting at 70 impossible as it's at 4k rpm and just wants you to floor it which isn't ideal on a 300 odd mile trip.

I don't no about a drivers stand maybe damien does?

the grey 1.9 in kingsnorth is lovely I haven't seen it in a few weeks now though I normally drve past it most days for work, never seen a White one, the silver one could be damien. Mines only been off the road since Friday and should be back before it's mot runs out mid may. Where you picking the project up from? It sounds like it needs a fair bit of work.

its at a farm in the alkham valley,,,,, im a car salesman at VW and i sold a car to someone whow had a mate that has a white gti and a grey cti in a barn.... He's keeping the gti but want out of the cti.... No Joke, these cars are buried bout 50 metres behind his gate,,, behind out bulidings, tractors, fridges. car shells,, its a dump.... will take him a week to clear the junk in front of it... Luckily he has a few tractors there and he said hes just gonna drag and bulldose every thing out of the way LOL....... Hopefully i can get a truck up his really steep driveway, which is nearly undrivable, to get it lifted once he gets it out.....

Interior,,,, brakes poss calipers, engine, (non start, but get dash lights when connected to a bit of power) good sign, but not enough juice to turn over, tyres perished badly, bushes all will be shot,,,,, certainly not overnight,,,,

but were do you start,,,, Just gut it out i suppose lol
