after a gti6 lambda know its 4 wire but i have a few spares from mi16's (2.0) and can get 2.0 xsi or 1.8 ones easily, are any of them compatible with the gti6 one or do i need a gti one?

any help would be great cheers.

Check the numbers on the side of the lambda. I know the GTi6 one isn't unique as I used one on an old Mini which had the same number (although different plug).

If there are any part numbers written on it, try typing them in a search engine and it might reveal what else it might be fitted to.

definitely noy unique in itself, though the lead length may vary in other units that are compatible, A saxo/106 item and many 406 ones are the same, IIRC all 306's with an XU engine use the same unit
