205 Si Hubs

Recommended Posts

We had a model in Australia called a 205 Si. It had a mono point injected 1.6L engine, came in manual or auto, with solid front discs and small driveshafts. Now apparently, it's possible to fit larger late model brakes (206, 306 etc.) to these hubs and still use the smaller driveshafts. Has any body tried this?

Base model hubs (which I'm assuming is what the 205 Si has) are 1.9 offset, so you can fit any brakes that would fit 1.9 hubs, and still use the smaller splined 1.6/diesel driveshafts

I've done this previously for a friend that wanted GTi-6 brakes on his 1.6 GTi, and after swapping to base model hubs, the brakes just bolt straight on :)
