Just wondering if the 205 TD injectors are the same as 306 TD injectors (bosch fuel pump), can any1 confirm this?

No, the Bosch operate at a higher pressure than Lucas. You'll need the bosch pump too if you want fit them.

Its already got a bosch pump on it, but I snapped the body of 1 getting it out of the engine so at the min it's running on 3 correct 306 injectors and 1 205 flat diesel injector, therefore im on the look out for another 1, you think that they miight let me take just 1 from the scrappers?

They'll let you if they don't know.

 

Does it run ok on just 3 and an odd injector? At least it will be spraying, just not as much as the others.

Ye runs fine but im planning on turning up the boost so i just want it to be right for piece of mind. Just need to find a 306 in the scrappy now that at the back of the yard

Obvious question, have they got the same part number on the injector body?

I no what ur going to say Graham and yes iv tried putting the 306 internals into the 205 body, it's a no go, was building up too much pressure and blowing the drainage pipe off.

I wasn't going to suggest that at all, just asking to see if the Bosch injector off your 205 was the same part number as the bosch injector off the 306 engine.

 

But now I've read your original post again obviously not because the 205 TD engine uses the Lucas pump not a Bosch one so unless you'd swapped them for Bosch ones already it isn't suioable.

It's not even off a 205 td it;s from a flat diesel, must say though works suprisingly well!
