New Project: G-sensing!

Hello,

 

my newest project is a mixture of fun and science: i'm building a g-sense system!

 

the sensor i'm using is a 3-axis +-4g / +-12g sensor, switchable resolution.

you can automatically sense where ground is, like a water level.

 

i'm curious to know what forces my gti is able to create.

 

afaik the nissan gtr got a similar system, quite nice.

 

the sensor itself is amazing small!

Under normal (and abnormal) driving conditions, it will be well within the range you are building your sensor.

 

S2000 racing cars on slick tyres (as used in World Touring Car Championship) peak at around 2g.

 

In a crash however...........
