Gotta Drill Out A Wheel Bolt

I'd go a little further to the base of the taper

 

I doubt you'll have any trouble removing the remains, they usually unscrew by hand, remove the disc and you'll have enough to get a pair of grips on too.

 

ah yes i forgot about the disk, even better

pete if you get really stuck ill post you a socket there for rounded of studs they are like a left hand thred wich cut into the bolt/nut etc when trying to loosen they

range from 8mm to about 19mm so i could post you some off the smaller ones to try

cheers liam, if only you had said two days ago :)

 

i think its gone a bit far for that now though as there aint much bolt left. it'll be out by tomorrow or the angle grinder will be.

Get the angle grinder out now, hockey mask and lots of lights. Scare it enough and it might just losen itself...

finally got the little bastid out today, got a good 13mm bit down there and had to go a bit deeper than i tought but didnt mangle the wheel at all which is a result.

 

and i managed to get the last bit out with a pair of grips quite easily.
