Wipers Not Working

hi guys and gals,

 

hope someone can help, my wipers stopped working yesterday, they have been temperamental for a while now

stopping mid screen when switched off and occasionally blowing the fuse but now they have stopped altogether, the

blue relay makes a rapid clicking sound when i switch them on, is it the relay - if so how much are they as money is very tight at the moment.

try running them without any wiper blades on for a bit, might loosen them up a bit

they are not stuck or seized they do not react at all with the stalk at any position, all i get is a clicking from the relay!!

someone help please as its raining here!!

Sounds like a dead relay but may be worth checking the connector hasn't come loose under the black scuttle panel.
