steve74

Hi there,

As above i need to order a full set of discs and pads for a 205 1.9 gti from the dealers.

My problem is i rang them and they say that they need a chasis number.

Problem is my car is a 1.6 Gti shell and the numbers are different.

Can any please help fix this problem has i need to order the asap.

Maybe an old chasis number that you have.

Thanks in advance.

buying from a dealer?! are you maaaad?! :)

part number for a pair of discs I believe is 4246 A7 by the way, they're the same as used on many 106/saxo zx/306/xsara models, 247mm by 20mm thick.

brake pads for that brake caliper are not available from Peugeot now.

Ive been told off a good source that gsf after market discs will rust on the face by the wheels.

Any disc will rust if you don't use them!!

Peugeot original discs will cost you £93, as I said above, you can't get the pads.

GSF discs will cost you £38.

from http://www.buypartsby.co.uk will cost you £6.50 each + vat :)

Some of the cheaper GSF brands might not be great but they sell several types normally. They used to supply ATE discs for the 205, I don't know if they still do but they definitely wont rust abnormally.

Got my last lot from Euro Car Parts. Lasted ages with daily use and seemed fine! Can't remember the price, but not a lot ;)
