Does all fuel sender units fit all model 205 i.e could I put a petrol one into my diesel, would the fuel gauge still be acurate?

Dunno about petrol vs diesel but , the Ph2 sender will give different/incorrect gauge readings if fitted inside Ph1 tank .. and vice versa ..
