Boot Light

sometimes my boot light works othertimes it doesn't is there an easy fix to this? (i have searched )

also the glovebox sometimes drops down to the floor when opened is this a common feature ?

The boot light runs off a contact inside the tailgate, pop the interior trim off and you should see a single wire going to a white bullet shaped contact, if its come off the mounting tang it may be you're problem

Yep it's a tilt switch, they go a bit flaky every now and again.

the glove box on my track car also drops to the floor, does this after i was a bit harsh trying to remove it and something broke..oops..

Think Peugeot went a bit French with the design of the glovebox....look at all that lid, & what do you get when you open it?!

Also...the pivots that the lid swings on fit in specially shaped locations...you'll probably find, like mine, that part of the plastic in this bizarre design has broken away.

New one from Pug costs about £4 (boot light switch), picked one up a few weeks ago. Wish I'd known this before spending ages trying to fix the old one!

Was a bit bent dusted it off and screwed it on tighter. So far so good....... useful to know
