205 2.0 Mi16 With 8v Head

Just wondering what the benfits of using this set up would be?

 

Just seen a car which is stated to be "2.0ltr mi16 bottom end with 1.9 head" its 100% 8v as i can see from the picture.

 

Why would you put a cast iron block inplace of the wetlined original?

No, its fitted to a 205, with all standard management. the 100 cc extra is not going to be beneficial without mapping though is it? all that weight is just going to kill the character of the engine

not necessarily, its a square engine so could make for a revvier nature, its a shorter stroke than a 1.9 engine.

 

if the pistons are the standard flat topped Mi16 ones though it'll have a whopping compression ratio!!
