Rose Joints Boots

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I have noticed recently that you can now buy Dust Seal Covers and Boots for your Rose Joints

Sealings Boots

and

Dust Seals

I currently have the Compbrake full rose joint wishbones and would love to look after the rose joints a little better, does anyone have any experience with these already?! Do you know what size boots i would need for the 2 smaller Subframe Rose Joints and 1 larger hub rose joint?! Also i have reducer bushes inside my rose joints so the bolts fit snugley so i really have no idea what size boots i should be getting?!

Any ideas

regards

Simon

They work pretty well, we used to use them on the Radicals at particularly dusty circuits. I think they were Aurora ones that came with the rod ends.

The full neoprene sealing boots are great.

Great, just need to work out what size i need

when they say, for eg, M14 Rose Joint, what part of the rose joint does this relate to:

1) The Male/Female Thread Size

or

2) The actual moving joint hole for the securing bolt to go through

Knowing this allow me to measure mine myself

Cheers

Generally the thread and the bore are both the same size on most joints, but just in case yours are, go on the external thread size as that's more closely related to the size of the body.

To be honest, the things are so stretchy that they'll probably fit everything from M12 to M18 anyway.
