Replacing Crank Thrust Washers..

Recommended Posts

Daviewonder

Hey all

Just getting some info for when I change the thrust washers on my 106 GTI in the near future, does anyone know the easiest way to do these? do I need to remove the crank or can I replace them with it in situ?

Cheers, Dave :)

Easiest way would be engine out, as you need to remove the crank. To be able to remove the crank the gearbox needs to come off to.
