Mi16 Oil Temp Sender

hi, when i brought my 205 mi16 the oil temp sender in the sump had been damaged where the previous owner had knocked it on something. Peugeot and citroen are telling me it is a discontinued item, gsf can't get one and auto five want me to post the damaged to them.

 

Is it the same part as a 8v 1.9? does anybody know cause i don't wanna have to post it, or damage it more trying to get it out only to find that i can't replace it. cheers robyp

The oil temp sender on a 1.9 Mi16 is the same as 1.6 and 1.9 8v GTi engines

thanks anthony, someone did mention to me that there were two different types of thread depending on the year, mine is an alloy 1.9 from a bx not sure which year, do you think it'd match?

All 1.9 Mi16 (alloy block) oil temp sensors are the same from what I've seen - later 2.0 Mi16/S16 (iron block) engines use a different sensor.

I got one from peugeot about 2 weeks ago they ordered it in no problem.
