Are All 205 Bonnets The Same?

Hi all,

 

Might sound like a silly question and I have had a look using the search function to try and avoid having to ask, but are all bonnets on 205's the same?

 

Reason I ask is I am struggling to find a white bonnet for my 1989 205 gti but have found a breakers on ebay that has one off an xs 205. Also, if it is the same year as mine will the paint be the same, I believe mine is alpine white? being a phase 1.5, so will the xs (also 1989 he says!) be alpine white too?

Not nessesary, there were 3 different "white" colours on 205, to be more safe I would advice you to get the paint code from above the headlight and compare them.

The bonnets are the same (except for the automatic one) but like Mike says the colour can be a slightly different shade even if its white.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I will ask him for the paint code and go from there I think,
