Fuel Level Gauge

Recommended Posts

Looking to get a new gauge for the Fuel level, VDO sell two types

0-1/1 (for Float-arm type sensors)

0-1/1 (for tubular Dip-Pipe sensors)

which would i need?

Or if someone has a different make gauge and is working ok, what do you have?

The standard sensor is a tubular dip pipe so I guess you need one of those, I doubt the calibration will be right though, unless you fit a matched sensor and gauge. I have a float arm type sensor I plan to fit (made by Sunpro) that looks like it will calibrate to the 205 tank (according to the specs) as I didn't know any dip tube types were available for aftermarket gauges.

Good info, so maybe full won't show full then, maybe will have to try, if not, will have to do what 309pug does and uses a multimeter and checks resistance and that tells him how much fuel is in the tank, but that's just hassle I don't need

unless infer a spa digital gauge am see if that's programable
