Its supposed to be for a 205 1.9 GTi....would it be a Magnex one ??? Are they not supposed to be stainless, as this one doesn't look stainless to me ?

Next question.....what would be the best spec of system to fit/make up ? Like pipe sizes, boxes, dimensions, etc ???

Cheers,

David

Yep, shagnex. It is stainless.

Best/easiest way to make it all fit, use a complete magnex system as they're an odd size pipe off the back of the mani, bit of a PITA tbh.

Plus you need a stiffer bottom engine mount.

Whats the bore of the Magnex system ? How many boxes ? How loud is it ?

Its going onto a competition car & I was just going to make up a 2-1/4" system with a decent sized back box but then again....I might just go for the Magnex system for the easier route.

What do you think ?

David

Magnex are no longer trading, so you may need to shop around for used system. Roadrunner in Nottingham bought a lot of the old stock, so they may have some left. Have to say the original Peugeot system on the GTi's was very good and many competition cars continue to use this along with a GpN system - its also a lot cheaper than a Magnex system!

The GpN systems are avery old design and cheap for a reason, and they're smaller in dia. than standard Ph2 systems.

the Piper Stealth system fits as well (or used to; not sure if it's still available). much better quality system than the Magnex (better materials & construction)
