205 Mi16 Speedo Cable!

Hi all

 

One thing has really been bugging me for a while now and im having to sort it pretty much every other day.

 

The speedo cable keeps dropping out of the clocks and into the gearbox ending up giving me no readings at all!

 

Its the right 205 speedo cable as advised to get when i last had this issue and thought the cable had broken.

 

Anyhow ive made sure the cable is fine which it is but does anyone know how to cure the problem so i dont have to keep getting under the car to un do it all and poke the cable back up into the clocks?

It should not be possible for the inner cable to come out the outer cable at the gearbox end, only at the speedo end. Sounds like a faulty speedo cable.
