Recent Find In Breakers Yard

just returned from the breakers. a 205 gentry (auto) has just been rolled in. it is immaculate inside and out, apart from rust on one wing. engine looks like new, still has the bag on the dizzy. clocks show 24000 ish, full service history in the glove box, last service was last month.

 

everything is still in place apart from all the lights i had today.

 

if anyone wants anything i will gladly remove it for you.

headlights still on it. will collect tomorrow if you want.

 

will get a price for steering wheel, how much do you to pay? I promise i will not make a penny on these parts, its already a crime to see it there.

 

there are other 205's there too. no gti's but a few v. low milage TU models. (inca's, jouniors etc less than 30k) non have rear lights anymore, there in my garage. will be going on flea bay.

Sounds like a scrappage special. If you do go again if you could keep an eye out for a 3dr Mardi Gras i'd be most appreciative. Need the seats and doorcards.

will do, have you got any pics of the interior you need, there are more 205's in there a the moment than there have been in the last 10 years.

How does it happens that cars like that are ending up on scrap yard ? With sucha a milage and with a fact that there is about 400 ever made of them.

They're worth virtually nothing, so simple problems or MOT failures will often condemn them to the scrap yard. There's a lot of government pressure/incentive to "go green" and buy a newer car.

I think the colour is enough to put most people off, I know I would never buy one or unless given one then I would only scrap it, It's one of those personal thing's but I hate the colour and with the matching interior tirm is just horrid,
