I've bought a 306 TD water distribution block for my conversion

Allows you to use the standard 205/309 pipework, without T pieces

Not sure how that pipes up

End of BBM hose will go to 'D' I would say,but not sure where your outlet from heater matrix is going to go

Pretty sure alot of peole blank off one of the smaller outlets off header tank

But I've found an insert on service box which I am going to fit into thermostat housing to allow a small pipe to be fed off thermo housing upto header tank,as per standard 205/309 pipe set up :)

Pug part number 1336 K8,just need to drill bleed hole out in GTI6 thermo housing and press this in ;)

Yeah ive got one of those too, but i didnt think i needed to use it with the BBM conversion hose. The only way i can think of doing it is B to D, the end of the BBM hose to C, then fitting the 306 TD water distribution block and using one of those outlets for the other heater matrix inlet, if that makes sense

Actually now you've said that, blocking B on the header tank would make sense, that way the BBM hose would go to D and i'd only need 1 piece of pipe between A and C. Can anyone confirm this?

Think I've sussed it

Do you need to bin the metal water pipe with the BBM hose????

Then 'A' would go to where metal pipe went to on distribution block, blank off 'B',blank off the pipe that feeds metal pipe off thermo housing, then end of BBM hose to 'D' :)

That would work

Don't think you would get any flow through heater matrix doing it like that

Water flow is coming out of head on both C and D

A is connected to C, B is blocked off, and D connects to the BBM conversion hose.

I don't personally like the way using the 306TD distribution block as the hoses run too close to the exhaust manifold for my liking, but clearly it works for some people - more than one way to skin a cat and all that

Thanks Anthony. Would it be OK to connect C to the BBM hose and A to D? Just seems like the outlet on the metal water pipe ( C ) is more suited in bore size to fit the BBM hose.

Thanks

Makes no odds really. C and D both connectinto the thermostat housing next to each other.

I bought mine from Baker BBM.

If you ask Stew he will know what you need.

Be aware that the 8v top heater hose is too short, the 16v one is a bit longer.
