106 Quicksilver Engine Problems, Please Please Help

Recommended Posts

djinuk

ok, car is a 106 quicksilver.

problem its always had is at random intervals the engine will have a bad missfire for about 2 mins and kangaroo. (this only happens once every 4 weeks or so)

next problem is that occasionly all revs will dissapear even though you still have foot on the gas (this often happens mid round about) and then all of a sudden it will kick into life)

between gears sometimes u feel a missfire before it pulls, similar to a carb when its playing up.

the car also doesnt feel smooth, and also when left idling will devlop a strange idle beat and eventually cut out, however once restarted this is fine again.

I put the problem down to a sensor.

so far ive changed the coilpack,

icv valve

map sensor

tps

ecu temp

all thats left is lamda

flywheel sensor

ecu

wiring loom

blocked cat maybe ?

really running out of ideas, its the girlfriends car so i really need to work it out.
