Afaik I think theres a couple of things to watch out for though like you will have less camber than with the 205 ones and there are two different wishbone ball joint sizes on the 306 so you have to make sure you get the right ones.

Moved to the correct section.

Please try a search as this has been covered before quite recently.

The earlier 306 / xsara hubs are 16mm ball joints (the ones you want). The later are 18mm which won't fit.

so you can use complete 306 gti6,front struts hubs, discs and pads and bottom arms, what driveshafts work in this combination???

as I asked so many times before and I found out from good helpers here.

They fit up to 98, they give positive camber, driveshafts are too long (however I once asked if BX shafts would fit with 309 bones - nobody answered that one), arms don't fit, I think that's it.

So basically not worth if you don't mind expensive machining to create right camber or use 309 bones or as I tried to find out some custom made (found them £280 pair).

Andy, you have to use 205/309 top mounts and the thinner droplinks, but apart from that the dampers and hubs will go on with 1.9 205 shafts, or 309 shafts if you are using 309 arms, or indeed a 309 shell

yep quite right, and to answer the bold bit...

n/s

compressed length = 592 mm

splines on inner joint = 24

splines on outer joint = 25

o/s

compressed length = 865 mm

splines on inner joint = 24

splines on outer joint = 25

which is 25mm longer each side than a 1.9 205 shaft, so too long but will fit both hub and gearbox fine.
