Be3 Box With 206 Selector Arm .... Will This Work ?

Recommended Posts

My engine is all ready to go back into the 205 bar one small problem, the rear selector arm on the box is missing. A new one from pug is £35 but is on back order (and had been for weeks) and there are none in the local scrap yards. However i have been given a 206 arm to try though

Now the problem is, if i put this on and then fit the engine, there doesnt seem to be enough space to remove the pin once every thing is fittedif its not compatible. Has anyone used these arms ???

( 206 arm has the ball to fit into the linkage socket on the end and in line with the arm unlike the 205 one which is on the arm and at 90degrees to it if that makes sense  )

if the length of the arm from the pivot, and the height comparative to the quadrant/main linkage is the same or close enough it'll work fine.

otherwise if you can bend or cut and weld it to make it the same as a 205 one that will work
