Injector Coding Resistor?

Recommended Posts

rallysteve

Just finished re-constructing my mi16 wiring loom (3-row 355), only thing I am missing is the part labeled on the diagram as injector coding resistor, should i have something to go here. I have one wire coming from the ECU(pin 46) and an earth wire but nothing to connect to them <_< Or should I just connect the ecu pin to earth?

Cheers Steve

Leave it open. It might be the one for retarding the ignition timing.

Leave them unconnected.

Supposedly you can fit certain resistor values and the ECU will adjust the timing and fuelling for different types of fuel, but I've never been able to find out if the Mi16 ECU actually has the feature enabled or not.

Cheers guys. Have left two open flying leads from one from the ECU pin and one for earth connection so i can always earth it if needed later <_<

Thanks Steve

Yeah rebuilt my loom and left the two ends open but present just in case something turned up. Since no one knows for certain about them and the car runs fine without anything plugged in I assume it's either not enabled or needed.
