Gti 6 Standard Air Intake Box

Has any body fitted the standard 306gti6 air intake box into a 205?

 

And does any body have a picture of how crammed in it is?

 

I am thinking of doing this and replacing the air filter with a green cotton jobby

 

 

Luckily I have the setup off my diesel 306 I can use

I too have been wondering how well this would fit, I think there may be an issue with the filter being too tight against the gearbox.

The airbox seems to be of good design because of how it is positioned and it doesn't have any restrictors in it and the filter element is quite big,

I would use it but with a larger diameter intake pipe (the one that goes from the snorkel to air box) as it seems quite small and maybe a larger diameter pipe from the air box to the TB,

 

Could be more worthwhile than spending £150-200 on an induction kit

 

If you have take your battery from under the bonnet and put it else where then I have though about fitting a civic type r air box because they are supposed to be of good design as well (from the previous model civic)

Tried to fit the 306 std airbox in place but it wasn't having it, I need to chop the brackets on the side and then work out how to secure it.
