What Starter?

i'm gonna be running a 2.0 8v turbo, out of an XM, 1.9 gear box and mi16/gti6 fly wheel,

 

what starter shall i use

Try and get a 306 dt starter, it's the slim looking one. Wouldn't bother with the beefy 205 starter they always fail prematurely in my opinion.

 

They're £45 on trade from Halfords including surcharge.

any idea of a part number, any suplliers number will do, i can x reference on my work computer

 

i had to put a new starter on the 1.6 engine and box about a month ago, brand new no surcharge was only £28 so that'll be on here soon as its probably no use to me

That's completely useful to you, it fits. As Baz says any XU starter fits and XU engine

I'm pretty sure it'll be the same, a XU diesel starter fitted my GTI6 engine so I can't see yours being a problem.
