Citroen Xantia Cabin Fan Not Working

Could anyone help me here, my dads xanita cabin fan/blower has stopped working ive changed the fan but it still nothing works...could it be the slider panel?

not sure how close it is to the 405-6 fan unit, but the resistors for the speed control are a common problem, they're housed in the fan unit under the impeller.

 

often enough a swift kick to the area does the trick as a temporary measure! :)

Yeah tryed that one! i even got another fan unit with the built in resistor but still no joy...

Last time in encountered this it was the power wire than had burnt out due to a problem with the speed resistor

my one does this and its one of the ignition switch wires on the 3 multiplugs just to the left of the steering wheel behind the steering height adjuster lever..

 

 

when my fan stops working i undo the lever for the steering wheel and move it up and down then the fan kicks back in:)

Yeah? forgot to say its a ph2 99' model with aircon, i will give that a try latter :unsure:

ah mines a phase 1 1995, but cant see the multiplugs changing much lol.

 

 

 

just finished replacing the heater matrix in mine,, got used to removing the whole dash now!!
