Some Stuff Going On Here!

So, i got my Gentry last year, i bought it in germany and moved it over to my country by driving it from germany to a ship that took me to Iceland.....

Any way, since i got it there was a big question if the cilinder gascet was dent and water going into the oil, but it didnt look like it....when i got it to iceland, it was for sure that it got broken or sumn after a drag race ageinst an Audi TT. :P

I threw it into the next mechanics shop that i trusted for the car and he had to port the heads and kind of rebuild the heads. B)

When i get it back, the motor is all f***ed up, running only on 500 rpms, i took it back and let him take a look at it again, so he timed it right and it worked good for about 5 hours, when i was exelerating up hill it just died, the engien just turned off and since then it tryes to start but wont really get there, its like its trying but cant qite get there....any thoughts?

The cam belt has slipped a tooth or two teeth on the pulleys. Worth checking.

head gasket could have gone again or as stated could have slipped a few teetrh either belt was not tensiones properly try looking for the timming marks if any if so turn crank to the position or the belt may be old did u have a new belt fitted when head was done if not old belt is streched or could be a fuel problem if not my best bet would to have the head prssure tested

actually i changed my mind on fuel as you say the engine "just turned off" sounds sudden and the starting but not starting more like you have little or no compression.

slipped tooth, bent valve in my completley unqualified but from experience opinion!

Well i took it to a mechanic to read of the ECU what could be going on, hopefully there will be resaults out of that, the cambelt is new and is fitted right, after the head gascet repair it got pressure tessted and one valve was burned so he fixed that allso.

I really am hoping that its just a relle, so far i know its not geting any sparks.....i just pray its not the ECU it self.
