Front Tarmac Bilsteins, what Parts Do I Need ?

Recommended Posts

This is the pic of one of the front struts we got with our car when we bought it:

What parts do I need to fir to the car, bearing in mind that we have the complete standard front suspension on the car at the moment.

To me, it looks like we need a pair of spring top caps to suit the 2-3/4" or 72mm i.d. springs we have.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

David

I think you need some top mounts and i am not quite sure but where your spring fits at the bottom there should be a round plate. I just had new ones fitted on my rally car and they look very different from yours , are you sure they are bilsteins/

Those are the very early Bilstein 75mm struts. To make them fit your car, you will need a pair of top spring pans and a pair of rose jointed top mounts. (no pic of top mount shown)

Another alternative would be to use a top spring pan for standard top mounts, a spindle spacer, heavy duty top mount rubber and your standard top mount and bearing that you already have on your car

All these parts are available from Special Tuning, Skip Brown or AB Motorsport
