Sticking Throttle

Had a brown trouser moment today. Was doin around 65 on the motorway and pulled out to overtake, fine but my throttle was jammed on and the car kept accelerating; dipped the clutch a couple of times and it knocked off.

Had this problem before christmas but thought it was due to a slack cable. Turns out its the throttle body, i've cleaned and sprayed carb cleaner down it but it keeps sticking now. Its just when i dip the throttle around 25mm it stays on. Is there something i'm missing or strip down job? Its a twin butterfly AMC throttle body.

 

Any help or advice appreciated.

could it not be the cable? i know on my onld 106 i had this but it was due to the cable sticking inside its sheathing. we routed a different way and it solved it.

i've taken the cable off and it is still sticking.

Start cleaning the throttle body up then, remember where everything goes and to set the throttle switch correctly.
