does anyone know off the top of their head what size the nuts are that hold the distributor on?

i've tried various of the stash of likely nuts i have and none seem to fit..

possibly i'm just being a muppet, but these things happen...

They're 11mm (spanner size that is, not sure of thread).

They'll be M7 then. If so, the same as top strut mounts.

God knows why they insist on using weird M7. What is wrong with M6 and M8!

 

I told my good mate who is a Ford man about Peugeots love of M7 and M11 (who knows where that is used?!), he virtually fell on the floor laughing!

You're absolutely right, really oddball but Peugeot always have been a bit quirky. I've changed the strut tops on my car to M8.
