Dcoe Rampipe Fitment

are these supposed to be a snug fit with the tabs used to secure them keeping the rampipes firm inside the carb body? I have 45's and have been running filters (K&N) but have a set of short rampipes that I am fitting to sit within the filters, but the when the tabs are secured the rampipe is loose (but cannot fall out). Surely this isn't right? Or do I need a set of tabs that bend into the carb slightly and therefore secure the pipe.

All the ram pipes i have fitted to my carbs have been a snug fit. loose ones will vibrate and make a teriable noise i would have thought. Have a word with whoever sold them to you.
