Rear Trailing Arm Bent

Recommended Posts

evojay71

I've hit the passenger side rear wheel a couple of times on some road road rallys last year bending the pin in the rear trailing arm which I've changed but I've noticed that the wheel is still tucked under. My question is whats the most likely to be bent?? Trailing arm?? Or trailing arm shaft?? I've seen new shafts for sale close to where I live so if this is bent it would save me some work stipping my spare 1600 beam. Thanks in advance

If the replacement stub axle is definately straight, I would say that it's the trailing arm itself that is bent - I've never (yet) seen a bent trailing arm shaft

Unless you know for certain its from the same car, year & model as yours then you really should replace them as a pair.

The amount of toe in & camber varies from model to model so mixing them up is easily done.
