how big of a job would it be just a case of 1.9 gti hubs subframe and lower the shell onto the subframe with the engine attatched. then add a gti fuel tank and the wiring loom. also is wiring a big job as it would probally have to be done over a weekend any info would be great cheers

Thats pretty much it, you'd need the gear linkage setup as well. If you have a donor gti then it'd be pretty simple.

It's certianly not a weekend job if your thinking you can get it in and running over a single weekend

You're going to have to sort

master cylinder/cam cover clearance

fabricate boost pipe work

fit intercooler

fabricate coolant hoses

sort gear leaver clearance issues

fabricate exhaust downpipe

nothing massively complex but all takes time

Its the L bracket on the subframe, it catches on the turbo acutator arm, you need to bend it slightly to make sure it doesn't hit.

I think doing it in a weekend would be a push. If you want to make a really good job of it take your time and remember attention to detail on the little things will make the finished product a lot better and so much more reliable / less likely to go wrong due to rushed wiring.

yeah possibly, i couldn't say for certain though, you'll need to fit the engine and see what the clearance is like for you and take it from there
