Hi, does any one have a set of oversize valve guides for 1.9 8valve engine?? the head i have seams to have a set in there that are 0,200mm oversize on the external diameter but the internal diameter are the same as standard, 8mm.

i would have put this in the wanted section but as usual things are made difficult for us!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like you've got an interesting project going on, why not tell us about it and contribute a little, you'll be at 30 posts before you know it. the mods will probably remove this as it should be in wanted.

i would hazard a guess that they do not come internally oversized, and new valves would be the order of the day to take up any deficiency of clearance between worn valves and the new guides. Unless the valves you are using have a thicker stem.

Have you tried an engine refurb place, they may be able to source them for you. Otherwise as you say, making them is not so hard if you have a lathe.
