Location Of Vin/chassis Numbers

Hi,

Im going to veiw a 205gti and have done the HPI check but where on the car is the numbers marked so i can check them against the V5. Cheers for any help.

There is a stamped plate just behind the OSF strut tower with the VIN on amongst other details.

 

The VIN is also stamped on the scuttle panel near the master cylinder - alarm bells should be ringing if this stamped VIN is missing, has been ground away, or doesn't tie up with the number on the plate!
