Twin Solex On Tu3s?

Has anyone got info.. Done this? Before I go ahead and do it anyway..

 

Making the manifold shouldnt be a problem at all, I'm just thinking.. I'd need run smaller jets, surely? As by the time the second choke kicks in the mixture will be a right state?

 

My single solex now is SPOT on, unmodded.. ish, and another one can be picked up on ebay for about £15

 

The only real problem is throttle cable linkage, But i'll think of that when Ive got two solex carbs in front of me at my dinner table and its raining out.

This idea has been raised before and one of the more experienced guys said there was no point in doing thisfor one reason or another, do a search and you should find it.

I think I'll go twin dellorto.. Found a full set-up for 300 beans!

 

Its alot of money, but its a bolt on job.. and its keepin it TU

ive got a set of twin 40 dellorottos on ebay the now all set up by hi-flow heads for a 1.6 vtr engine and never used,with short trumpets and pipercross airfilters,new cables and likages,also ally inlet manifold for tu engine if anybody intrested pm me

Although I would love to have these at current I have niether the funds or time for them! I am moving to north wales next week! Sound tasty though.
