Mi16 Which Flywheel

hi im running an mi16 engine and changing my gearbox from 1900 to 1600 and wiondering if putting an 8v flywheel on makes any difference

You'll need to retain the Mi16 flywheel as the 1.6/1.9 8v GTi ones don't have the 60-2 timing teeth for the crank sensor

Only other thing is any other flywheel off any other pug/citroen a better choice or is lightening or aluminium my only options

You could try one off an xu7jp4 1.8 16v? it should fit, however I could be wrong. they are the same size as the 1.6 and 1.9 engines i believe, and have the 60-2 teeth.

Also Motronic 205 Gti engines will have the correct flywheel, however why not just use the Mi16 flywheel and clutch in the first place.

that flywheel IS a 1.9 gti item as well as it was used on the DKZ cat equipped engines.

Oh rite good to know, so i should be able to use a 1.9 gti clutch on my xu7 engine?
