Think iam right in saying this but isnt there a speed resistor somewhere in the pipework under dash as this could be the problem.

there is a TRANsistor in the airflow, under the panel, next to the rotorengine.

this parts can get faulty and die, especially when the motor fails.

Will be the rehostat located next to the blower more than likely, common fault, worth checking the motor isnt partially seized also, does it make a racket when it does work? Im pretty sure ive got a spare rehostat and blower if you get stuck.

Where abouts are these parts? May sound like a stupid question.

Many Thanks

The blower sounds fine. Where abouts is the rehostat? Is the the one with the white connector?

Many Thanks

IIRC yes it is, just held in with 2-3 cross head screws and then drops out the bottom, right next to the blower.

hi there, was reading through this thread and i have this exact problem. i've just picked up my CJ cabriolet and the heating is acting up. the blowers can be turned up and down no problem, however it only blow out cold air, no hot at all  and there is a dreadful racket from around the glovebox area, is this the rehostat and would changing it fix everything???

help would be much appreciated, cheers, John
