Vehicle Speed Module

Recommended Posts

Has any one got a picture of the location or even a picture of the module its self? How much of an effect does it have on the ecu? I can see the sensor on the gearbox and I have two wires coming from it, but according t the wiring diagram i have, they go to a vehicle speed interface and then to the ecu. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The speed interface box on a 406 is behind the glovebox. You will see several boxes there, the one you need is black with a white end where the connector plugs in. It has two rows of pins.

I think you might be able to help with this one Ade, I'll be helping to fit a V6 into a 306 shortly.

My question is about the VSS and the function of the Amplifier, can a 3 pin VSS be substituted and send the signal to the Speedo direct as it was originally in the 306? (and as it is on most 406's bar the Turbo's and V6!)

I do seem to remember that's how it is on Goliath's engine loom, which you did IIRC?
