Auto Gearbox No Gears

anybody got any ideas what may cause said issue wont go any where just revs

Obvious starting point is what's the gearbox oil like, in terms of level, colour, and smell? Usually tells you alot about the condition of the gearbox condition.

 

Do you get any noise/movement shifting between gears and to and from park/neutral? Is the shifter cable moving at the gearbox end OK?

 

Otherwise, did it happen suddenly, or had it been misbehaving or getting worse beforehand?

Flywheel I;ve found to be the issue, Not allot to go wrong with the box

it went on way back from fleetwood got as far as bolton felt like a brake was stuck on briefly so i tapped brake and it went away bout ten mins later all rev no action

not sure on oil but the rac man thought all was fine selector end

If its anything like the 405 auto I had way back when there is a triangular flexplate to join the torque converter to the flywheel, what happened was this suffered from fatigue and the tips sheared away from the rest of the plate one by one until I was left with no drive.

as said before check the oil/change it as this is the cheap/easy option
