Cuts Out But Will Restart Help Please.

hi people i have a 1.6 g reg 205 gti and wen it warms up or been driving for a few mintues. it just cuts out, out of no were but it will restart when key is turnd i think its gotta be electrical ive got quite a good machancal mind an i was thinkin it could be somthing like the coil pack,air flow meter,bad earth or alternator/battery. any help is much apricated thank you.

Over heated coil may do so. First coil then ing. amp. to check

Does sound like coil to me, also worth while checking the condition of the dizzy fly lead.

ok fellas ill have a look thanks for writing back to me all 5 ht leads are new. but ill get on the case. any one no how much they ruffley cost.?

Somebody on here will have one.

Is it the coil which is mounted on the inlet manifold or by the rear of the engine bay?

 

One looks like a square, the other a cylinder.

 

I could possibly have one...

well its definatly not the coil treid a freind of myns and it did it again. are dodgy airflow meters proned for doing this???? please help gunna scrap the thing in the minute
