Stdt 205

Got myself a 205 stdt after 2years of selling my 205 s16! a few questions, are the exhausts from the turbo diesel engine and the standard diesel engine the same?

 

will the wings from a standard diesel 205 fit the stdt? as the stdt has the gti trim? what is different?

 

the 205 i bought does need some work and there was a 205 standard diesel for sale as spares and wanted to know if the parts were compatible before i bought it.

Hello Kamran, It doesn't sound like that other 205 is much good for you, the wings are the same as GTI with a more flared profile and with the holes for the trim to fix, also the exhaust from a non turbo'd diesel will have a narrower mid section and tail and I'd imagine you'd have a load of back pressure, which would be no good.

The wings will be different (will not have holes for body trim) and i'd imagine the exhaust manifold will be different as it will not have a place for the turbo.

Yeah the exhausts centre section are different on the turbos to the non turbos. As are the front wings

the exhausts are different, which parts do you need, is it only the parts you have metioned above, as i have a few engine and interior parts laying around

managed to get 1 wing, still need driver side wing, pasenger side wing trim, Exhaust, Wash Bottle motor, Sunroof handle ( sliding sunroof, the part on the glass)

 

Whatever you have from them would be a great help.

Always wanted an STDT (I'd put a GTI interior in it though!)
