Rev Counter

For over 6 months i have noticed that when i start my car hot or cold it will taken upto 30 secs for me to get a reading on my rev counter.

 

It always works and wakes up after 30 secs or if i start moving in will make it kick in Quicker.

 

So i dont think it could be a connection as it would be braking down more frequently and not just on start up.

 

Does anyone know what would cause it to be slow to wake up?

 

It has a brand new genuine coil and genuine Bosch Ignition amp!

My counter done this too.

i think it's the electronics at the back of the counter. Maybe a slower capacitor.

That would make sense because it always works but is just slow. I might get a spare set of dials and either fit or look at the electronic of it all before damaging mine.
