Gti6 Oil Level Sender...

Is the Oil Lever sender needed on a GTI 6 conversion? The sender on my engine is broken and i just wondered if ill be OK remoing the sender and fitting a plug to the hole in the block?

not of any use unless you use the 306 cluster, or a VERY rare early 205 cluster, otherwise yes its not needed

Was any 205 with oil level indicator? I didn't know that. When?
