Zx Earth Points...

I've got a problem with the central locking on the ZX, it's a volcane 1.9turboD, it rarely actually unlocks with the key, it usually involves me unlocking the drivers door, getting in, and fiddling with the electric windows (and I've recently discovered also works with the electric wing mirror) and usually it unlocks, (and in reverse for locking which gets very annoying after a while!!)

 

I'm pretty sure it'll be an earthing fault somewhere as all fuses etc are good, the only time I get to look under the bonnet are in the dark, so even a small hint where they could be would be helpful!! Any ideas?? Or if you don't think it is an earthing fault I'm open to other suggestions/opinions!!
