Dimma Tyres

i have just bought some dimma wheels for my 205, currently i have got 205/40/17 with bigger spacers at the back than the front which promots bad understeer

 

so i have the dimma wheels to try and correct this, but the rears are 9inch and the front are 8inch

 

now the track width will be the same withe the dimma wheels (as it is measure centre to centre of the wheels)

 

just unsure now on widths of the tyre to choose

 

 

the car will be used for a few track days in the summer

 

 

so do i go 225/40 allround

 

or 215/40/16 front and 225/40/16 on the rear??

 

because surely to promot a balaced car or more leaning to oversteer you would have a wider wheel/tyre on the front (grip) ???

 

but dimmas come with wider tyres on the rear

i have 15", 8" wide racing steels at a offset of et0, i run 225/50/15 all round r888 and it performs very well!

only thing is the wheel is 9" on the back so would it make a diffrence do you think james??

 

i rea;y need to order these as toyos are on backorder and i have found a set!!!

ive got toyo proxes 215 40 16s on the front, and bridgestone 215 40 16 on the back, so thats the same size. I tryed a 225/45 on the back last week, but it rubbed with just me in!

No they dont!

 

They came out of the factory with 4 x 205/45/16

I found a site in the UK, they recommend Front: 7" x 16" ET-0 and Rear: 8" x 16" ET-32

i bought 4 x 225/40/16 tyres in the end, they are toyo t1r as used them before and thought they are pretty good.
